CryptoBuster Deployment
Before starting CryptoBuster installation, make sure your system meets the software requirements outlined here.

Launch the CryptoBuster installer with administrative privileges.

Follow the on-screen instructions to install CryptoBuster on your computer.

After the installation is completed, launch CryptoBuster from the shortcut placed on your Desktop or from the Start Menu.

The Controlled Folder Access feature of Windows Defender may interfere with the ability of the CryptoBuster installer to place the application shortcut on your Desktop or the deployment of specific files on the disk. It’s recommended to temporarily disable Windows Defender or add the CryptoBuster installer and the related files to the Windows Defender Exclusions.

Uninstallation
Windows 10

Press Win + I to open Settings.

In the right pane, click on Apps and Features and then scroll through the installed apps to locate CryptoBuster. You can also use the search bar to find the software.

Select CryptoBuster from the list, then click the Uninstall button.

Click the Uninstall button again to confirm the action.

Follow the on-screen instructions to uninstall CryptoBuster from your computer.
Windows 11

Press Win + I to open Settings.

In the left pane, open the Apps tab.

In the right pane, click on Apps and Features and then scroll through the installed apps to locate CryptoBuster. You can also use the search bar to find the software.

Click the three dots button beside CryptoBuster and select Uninstall.

Click the Uninstall button again to confirm the action.

Follow the on-screen instructions to uninstall CryptoBuster from your computer.

Please make sure you have removed all honeypots created by CryptoBuster before uninstalling the software as the uninstaller does not automatically remove the created honeypots from your computer and once the honeypots configuration file is removed, CryptoBuster won’t be able to locate those files, and you will have to locate and remove them manually.
